Popinjays is a contemporary lifestyle rooftop bar and restaurant offering European gastronomy. Reflecting Hong Kong’s vibrant, cosmopolitan style, the lifestyle destination attracts the city’s flamboyant and fashionable crowd.
The venue takes its name from the sociable cockatoos that reside in the neighbouring Garden Road, park and botanical gardens. Led by Chef Alexandre, Popinjays offers a semi lunch buffet on weekdays, afternoon tea, dinner, and seafood brunch on weekends.
For an alfresco option, the adjoining 420-square-metre wraparound terrace is the perfect vantage point to appreciate Instagram-worthy views, classic cocktails and bar snacks.
The Aviary, a private room, caters for smaller gatherings for up to 20 guests.

Note to guests
As directed by the government's latest Covid-19 guidelines, all restaurants and bars within the hotels are in service. Popinjays can accommodate up to 4 guests per table before 10 p.m. The bar section can cater to 6 guests per table between 10 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. and 12 guests per table between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m.
Popinjays, The Tai Pan, Garden Lounge and Murray Lane are also certified with an air change rate of above 6, which meets the government’s ventilation requirements.
